PsychologyThe Ira H. Abrams Memorial Award for Distinguished Teaching for Faculty is the highest teaching honor in the School of Arts and Sciences and it is given to a faculty whose teaching is intellectually rigorous and exceptionally coherent and that leads to an informed understanding of a discipline. Recipients of the Ira Abrams Memorial Award are expected to embody high standards of integrity and fairness, to have a strong commitment to learning, and to be open to new ideas.

Bart Hoebel was a Penn Psych PhD who worked with Phil Teitelbaum and was a member of Princeton Psychology Department, where he spent his whole career. Harvey also was just named the President of the Obesity Society, a group of about 2500 scientists who focus on obesity science, treatment, education and policy.

Robert's field studies of nonhuman primates, specifically a troop of baboons in Botswana, have illuminated how primate relationships may reflect the evolutionary origins of social relationships, intelligence and language in humans. JD/PhD Department of Psychology
The JD/PhD Program is designed to expose lawyers and psychologists to the growing number of issues that involve both fields, such as competence, mental illness and incapacity, and the field of behavioral law and economics.
Both degrees can be earned in seven years course of study. Students will generally spend their first year in the Department of Psychology.
