Lorenzo Lorenzo-Luaces will receive the Aaron T. Beck Student Achievement Award from the Academy of Cognitive Therapy at the ABCT meeting this month in New York (Saturday, 10/27/16 at 7:00 PM). This award acknowledges excellence and accomplishments of graduate students, post doctoral fellows, and residents who are pursuing careers in the field of mental health and who are intent on using cognitive behavioral therapy as a guiding modality in either their delivery of client services or in their research.

Elizabeth Brannon has been appointed to the Edmund J. and Louise W. Kahn Term Chair in the Natural Sciences, in recognition both of her distinguished scholarship and of her outstanding service to the Department of Psychology and the School of Arts and Sciences.
This chair was established through the bequest of Edmund and Louise Kahn. Mr. Kahn was a 1925 Wharton graduate who had a highly successful career in the oil and natural gas

The Lindback Award is the highest teaching honor that the University bestows upon our faculty. The Lindback dossier contains letters from faculty, undergraduates, and graduate students who speak to the Dan's commitment to distinguished teaching across a wide range of settings, from direction and mentorship of graduate students to his special talent with the largest class in the College, PSYC001. Dan is just the third Lindback Award recipient in Psychology since the award was established in 1961.

The primary criteria for the Provost’s Award for Distinguished PhD Teaching and Mentoring are a record of successful doctoral student mentoring and placement, success in collaborating on doctoral committees and graduate groups, and distinguished research. It was a pleasure to read the many letters of support speaking to Dianne’s accomplishments on all of these points.
