Steven J. Fluharty, senior vice provost for research and professor of pharmacology, psychology, and neuroscience, has been named dean of the School of Arts & Sciences

He will assume the deanship on July 1, 2013, succeeding Dr. Rebecca Bushnell, professor of English, who will return to full-time scholarship and teaching after serving as dean since January 2005.
