Research Methods and Statistical Procedures

Course Description: 

The goals of this course are to increase the student's competence in
designing, conducting, and evaluating psychological research. Specific
objectives are: (a) the student will master basic design elements of
quantitative research methodology, including assessment and design, and will
be introduced to the concepts in qualitative research; (b) the student will
become familiar with what statistical approaches might be used to answer
particular research questions (although not to conduct these statistical
analyses); and (c) the student will develop an initial understanding of
ethical and professional issues in the conduct and publication of research
in clinical psychology.
