Course Description: 

This seminar will review what is currently known about the evolution, ecology, and behavior of our closest animal relatives, the nonhuman primates.  Topics to be covered include the divergence of New World monkeys, Old World monkeys and Apes, group formation and territoriality, mating systems, kinship, dominance, reciprocity, social relationships, tool use, and intelligence.
