Course Description: 

Social Psychology of Good and Evil. In this seminar, we will explore how social and political psychologists have contributed to our understanding of good and evil. Topics will include, but are not limited to: psychological approaches to defining "good" and "evil"; genocide; obedience to authority; bystander intervention; mob violence (e.g., riots and crowd behavior); terrorism; and blind patriotism.
