Research Experience in Social Psychology (*2-semester course continued in Spring)

Course Description: 

In this course students will gain experience in the design, running, and interpretation of behavioral studies in social psychology. Students will conduct their own research on any topic that falls within the area of social psychology, broadly construed. Particular emphasis will be placed on the psychological mechanisms underpinning aspects of social behavior, which will be examined closely in the context of social cognition research. This is a year-long course; grades will be assigned at the completion of the second semester.

Prerequisite: 
Psychology 170 or 166 or 153, and one semester of statistics. Course limited to 14 students, preference will be given to senior psychology majors.
